St. Mark’s Brass Concerts for the 2019-2020 Season
St. Mark’s Brass will present four concerts for the 2019-2020 season. They will open the season on October 20th, 3:00 P.M. at St. John 23rd Parish – St. Mary Church in Port Washington.
Works by Ewald, Maurer, Ewazen, Gabrieli, and other composers will be performed by St. Mark’s Brass. Mike Keegan, Horn, will perform solo organ works by Handel, Franck, and other composers. Admission is free and open to the public. St. Mary Church is located at 420 N. Johnson St., and overlooks the city of Port Washington.
November 17th – Lake Park Lutheran Church located on Stowell Ave. and Park Place, Milwaukee’s upper East Side, at 3:00 P.M. Brass works will be the same with organ works by Clerambault, Scheidemann, Handel, and Franck.
February 23rd – St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Cudahy, 3515 E. Van Norman St., Cudahy, at 4:00 P.M. This concert is a collaboration with Eastwinds Chamber Ensemble. The concert will consist of two wind chamber works by Beethoven, and the Quintet in E-Flat Major for Piano and Winds, K452 by Mozart. St. Mark’s Brass will perform works by Maurer, Mozart, and Handel.
May 3rd – Bay View Methodist Church, located at the corner of Kinnickinnic and Clement Aves. in Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood at 3:00 P.M. Works by Ewald, Maurer, Ewazen, and other composers will be performed for the church’s Main Level Concert Series. Solo organ works will be announced soon.
The final performance will be June 7th for the Project Concern Benefit concert, St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Cudahy. We look forward to seeing you at one of these performances.
