St. Mark’s Brass Concerts for the 2020 Season

February 23rd – St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Cudahy, 3515 E. Van Norman St., Cudahy, at 4:00 P.M. This concert is a collaboration with Eastwinds Chamber Ensemble. The concert will consist of two wind chamber works by Beethoven, and the Quintet in E-Flat Major for Piano and Winds, K452 by Mozart, with pianist Carla Coonan. St. Mark’s Brass will perform works by Maurer, Mozart, and Handel. 

Musicians for Eastwinds Chamber Ensemble: Kati Seiter and Heidi Hess, Oboe, Donna Bizub and Pam Harrison, Clarinet, Eric Heitkemper and Megan Braunschweig, Bassoon, and Mike Keegan and Katie Seybold, Horn. 

May 3rd – Bay View Methodist Church, located at the corner of Kinnickinnic and Clement Aves. in Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood at 3:00 P.M. Works by Ewald, Maurer, Ewazen, and other composers will be performed for the church’s Main Level Concert Series.  Solo organ works will be announced soon.

The final performance will be June 7th for the Project Concern Benefit concert, St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Cudahy. We look forward to seeing you at one of these performances.

Mike Keegan is a freelance horn player in the Milwaukee area. As the the Founder, Executive, Musical, and Artistic Director of Eastwinds Chamber Ensemble, Mike promotes new music for horn, solo and chamber as a frequent recitalist and soloist. He is also an Artist-In-Residence at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Milwaukee. Mike currently performs with 61730365_10219509146460972_3708768684605440_oSt. Mark’s Brass, Prata Duo, as an active studio musician, and has performed with the Milwaukee Choirsters, and Ozaukee Chorus, and other area bands and orchestras. Solo appearances include the Philharmonia Orchestra of Racine and International Horn Competition of America. Mike is a member of Delta Omicron, MacDowell Club of Milwaukee, International Horn Society, and the American Guild of Organists, Milwaukee Chapter. Mike also plays organ for different congregations in the Milwaukee area, mainly at Summerfield United Methodist Church in Milwaukee. As an organist performer, Mike presents occasional solo concerts at different churches in the Milwaukee area. Past and present performances include the Concert Series at St. Casimir, Concerts on Cramer at Ss. Peter and Paul Parish, Milwaukee, Music on the Hill, Port Washington, and other congregations. As a composer, Mike self-publishes his own compositions, arrangements, and transcriptions of other composer’s works through Eastwinds Music, his own music publishing business, and is also published by Imagine Music.  In addition to his musical activities,  Mike is a member of the National Stuttering Association.
